"Moored Boats, Johnshaven"

I`ve been working on this painting for more than a year, trying to convey the bright glare of the sunlight on the oily, harbor water and the painted surfaces of the boats.Eventually I have realised that the problem was with the colour of the frame (it being too light) and not the painting itself; "The darker the shadow, the brighter the light".
