"Incoming Tide, North Berwick"

The Bass Rock is a striking feature situated just off the East Lothian coast, South of North Berwick. It has been painted numerous times by artists over the years but in this painting my focus is on the incoming waves.
This picture depicts a chilly December afternoon when a five-minute window of sunlight opened up, completely transforming an otherwise bleak and forbidding sea view across the Firth of Forth.
