Oil on board. 43 x 36 cm.
During the first days of the Covid-19 Lock down there was an unsettling atmosphere afoot with the shops running out of certain foodstuffs and other commodities and it struck me how fundamentally dependent we are on the people whose vocation it is to produce the food we eat.
This painting from a photo taken in March, is a small homage to those who work so hard in the fields.
See this painting at Eduardo Alessandro Studios, Broughty Ferry from 12th September, 2020 - one of my 30 paintings/30 years exhibition marking 30th year since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone, Dundee (the exhibition runs until 26th September).
